Local 28

For over a decade, Local 28 has been winning over Deadheads and music lovers alike with their high-energy performances celebrating the music and improvisatory spirit of the Grateful Dead. Following in the footsteps of the Dead themselves, and joining the growing legion of artists from different scenes who are bringing their own energy to America’s greatest songbook, Local 28 weave nimbly through styles, genres, and covers that deftly bridge traditional song craft with deep jams. Formed in 2006 and based in Gloucester, MA, Local 28 keeps audiences dancing and smiling as they travel together down the many roads of alt-twang, swamp boogie, 70’s AM radio gold, and of course the good ol’ Grateful Dead.
